Menopause

Menopause represents a time in a woman’s life when her ovaries stop producing hormones and her menstrual periods stop. This typically occurs after age 45. A woman reaches menopause when she goes one full year without a menstrual period. Sometimes a woman experiences bothersome symptoms as the hormones in her body change. Some symptoms include: hot flashes, night sweats, mood changes, weight gain, trouble sleeping, brain fog, and vaginal dryness. Some women chose to use treatments such as complimentary medicines or hormone replacement therapy to help their menopausal symptoms.
